Kintampo is the center of Ghana as measured in colonial times, celebrated by a monument decorated in the colours of the national flag. We have to be honest, the monument from 1992 has already seen its best days. However, we are sure it will be soon renovated in new glory. We from the “Visit Kintampo”-Project are very keen to support its restoration. However, even in the meantime you might not want to miss a snapshot or selfie right in the centre of Ghana! “Cheese!”

Once you are there it is worth to have a look at the old police station just North of the monument. More information here…

How to get there?

The monument is located next to the old police station, 100 meter from the Techiman-Tamale Highway. When entering Kintampo take the first paved road to the left, passing the Okumah Executive Lodge. After 300 meters you will find the monument on the left.
